Seiko

Seiko is a Japanese watch company that has led the watchmaking industry since 1881. In 1913, Seiko produced Japan’s first wristwatch, the Laurel, which paved the path for the future of Seiko watches. In 1969, Seiko introduced the world’s first quartz watch, “Seiko Quartz Astron,” which began the quartz revolution. Seiko is one of the few fully integrated watch companies.

Although Seiko has been around for over a century, they continue to produce watches unlike any other. By using leading-edge technology, Seiko designs and develops its distinct watch movements, which are always one step ahead of the rest of the industry. Their watches continue to uphold their reputation as the most accurate timepieces in the world. They offer a diverse range of watches in all different sizes, styles, and price ranges.

Moyer Fine Jewelers is proud to be an authorized Seiko watches dealer of Prospex, Presage, and Astron.

In 1965, Seiko launched Japan’s first diver’s watch. The innovative technology of the watch changed the global standards of diver's watches, and Seiko Prospex was born. The Prospex collection was specifically designed for sports lovers and adventurers. Many cool features of these watches help assist divers through their adventures. For example, many watches include Lumi Brite hands and markers, which increase visibility underwater. One of our popular models is the SPB153, which was released in 2020. This watch is the reinterpretation of the 1970 Diver’s watch, otherwise known as “Captain Willard” SPB153. This timepiece features an olive green dial and bezel with a silicone strap. The Seiko Prospex SPB153 meets every challenge with technological excellence in a fashionable manner.

The Presage collection is a reflection of Seiko’s heritage in modern-day designs. It combines Japanese aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship with the brand’s mechanical watchmaking skills. Seiko Presage incorporates Japanese beauty throughout the collection. Recently, Seiko released a new series within the Presage collection, the ‘Sharp Edged Series.’ This series consists of four watches that combine sporty and dressy styles into an everyday watch. The SPB165 is one of the popular timepieces within the new series. It embraces contemporary Japanese design with a unique dial that reflects centuries of artistry and symbolizes prosperity and growth. This timepiece has a white dial and is crafted in stainless steel. The SPB165 has a 24-jewel automatic movement with the ability to manually wind. This modern watch has an impressive frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The Presage watches are Seiko’s modernized collection of everyday watches for men with a classy, luxurious style.

The Astron is the world’s first GPS solar watch. At the touch of a button, it adjusts to your time zone anywhere on Earth through the GPS network connection. The Astron solely runs on light alone, never needing a battery change. Today's Astron represents another step forward, reflecting the strong, sleek lines of the 1969 original, while providing the highest degree of accuracy possible in a wristwatch — effortlessly. Seiko’s Astron simplifies timekeeping for those on the go. Its unique design and innovative features make it the most advanced watch of its kind. We carry a variety of Astron 5X Solar GPS Dual Time models. The SSH077 is one of our top-selling Astron watches. This watch has a gradated blue textured dial, inspired by a space nebula, as well as a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers. The Astron collection is perfect for every lifestyle, every situation, and every watch collector.
