We had the privilege of doing a photoshoot at the popular Cake Bake Shop in Carmel! Since it's opening in Carmel earlier this summer, the Cake Bake Shop has become a must-do for both locals and travelers alike! After realizing that their decadent desserts taste as great as they look, we knew we had to partner for a photoshoot capturing the beauty of their desserts and our diamonds. The results were incredible thanks to the talent of local photographer Monica Brown. See some of our favorite shots below!
Carmel's Cake Bake Shop opened earlier this year. Since then, it has become a magical gathering place for birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions. Walking into the Cake Bake Shop, one almost feels like they've stepped into a fairytale. Owner Gwendolyn Rogers has transformed the space into an 'instagrammer's dream' complete with sparkling chandeliers, beautiful decorations and the rich aroma of cakes and other desserts baking. Not only does the Cake Bake Shop specialize in desserts, they have a delectable lunch and dinner menu. Among the most popular meals are classics such as the chicken velvet soup from the LS Ayres Tea Room, and "The Best Quiche You Will Ever Have".
Gwendolyn and the Cake Bake Shop have received numerous awards and recognition. Since opening the Broad Ripple location in 2014, she has been recognized on Oprah Winfrey's famous 'O' List for her Mint Chocolate Chip Cake, 'Best of the Midwest-2016' by Midwest Travel, '#1 Bakery in Indiana' by Trip Advisor and many more prestigious accolades. Her talents have also earned her attention from celebrites such as Paula Dean (for her 70th birthday cake), Jim Carrey, Mario Batali, Buddy Valastro, Andrew Luck, Alexander Rossi, Def Leppard, Garth Brooks, Steve Martin and more. She also has a partnership with national brand Williams-Sonoma where her cakes are available for purchase online.
Monica is an extremely talented photographer based out of Indianapolis who specializes in destination weddings. Monica is the lead photographer, primary communicator, and detail guru. Her husband, Drew, is the second shooter, tech support, and manager of all things business. Monica and Drew have traveled to over 25 countries through their photography. They are looking to expand their horizons to other destinations such as Banff National Park, Great Barrier Reef and others.
