About Franck Muller

Franck Muller timepieces are characterized by their complicated movements and bold, creative designs. After a few years at the Geneva School of Watch Making, it was clear Muller had a true talent for the art of watchmaking. He honed his skills by restoring watches from design houses and collectors from all over the world. In 1983, Muller released his first wristwatches complete with movements he built himself. One of his greatest accomplishments at a young age was actually putting a Tourbillon movement into a Rolex watch. The brand became the enterprise it is today when Muller met Vartan Sirmakes, a skilled jewel-setter turned watch manufacturing aficionado. Since inception, fans of the brand include Sir Elton John and Versace. According to a brand representative, it was Versace that catapulted the Franck Muller name as he owned hundreds of timepieces and recommended the brand to the fashion community at large.

About the Design

Most of Franck Muller's watches have a dynamic, curved case referred to as the "Cintree Curvex" case. At the time of their inception, round cases and some rectangular cases were bombarding the market. It was the Curvex case, that gave Muller its unique DNA among the industry. The Curvex models with their curved cases, crystals and movements fit perfectly to the wrist. The curved shape along with the dial design are part of what makes up the brand's identity.
